These are our personal thoughts written during the trip itself.

Mark's are journal entries to help him remember details from the trip.

Ann's are individual e-mails she sent to her friends back home to keep them updated with her progress.

Mark's Entry

January 6 - Home

We had an easy connection at Heathrow and boarded our next flight. Here we were seated in Premium economy, which did not have those nice sleeper headrests, and the armrests did not raise to give the extra hip-room that I need. The only advantages were extra legroom and a powerport for my laptop, which I used during the second half of the flight.

We had to wait about a half-hour for our luggage at JFK (it was stuck in the plane) and then wait almost an hour for the hotel shuttle to our car, but once we got the car itself things went very smoothly. In fact we made it from JFK to home in less than 2 ½ hours, which is a record. It was nice to not hit a single traffic jam while traveling across the city. Even the GW Bridge was wide open, which I had never seen before.

I took 893 photos on this trip, which is a lot, but still only a quarter of what I expected to shoot. Now it’s time to start processing them and posting them on my website. I have a lot of work ahead of me.
